Through the profession of veterinary medicine, veterinarians put their knowledge and compassion into practice by preventing disease and healing animals. Whether they’re pets, livestock, or working animals, animals matter to all of us, as well as our community as a whole.
A profoundly rewarding pursuit, veterinarians safeguard animals against illness, protecting those who can suffer but cannot speak. Veterinarians are called upon to ensure these animals have a voice and an advocate who ensures their welfare is a priority.
World Veterinary Day
Created by the World Veterinary Association (WVA) in 2000, World Veterinary Day is an annual celebration of the veterinary medicine profession, taking place on the last Saturday of April – this year on April 29th. The theme of this year’s World Veterinary Day is “Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusiveness in the Veterinary Profession.”
This year, the WVA celebrates efforts from veterinarians, veterinary associations, and others to advocate for fairness and equity. Removing barriers and improving inclusiveness through diversity, equity, and inclusion policies and practices, in a diverse world, needs a special focus. The well-being of all veterinarians is enhanced when diversity, equity, and inclusion are promoted and applied. At Pet Cremation Services, we are proud to be the trusted partner of veterinarians throughout the state of Ohio, ensuring their clients’ pet cremation is handled with care, and according to their individual needs and budgets.
