Meet Jennifer Cook, Account Representative

Jennifer Cook title slide.

At Pet Cremation Services, we take caring for your pet’s final goodbye very seriously and are honored to be trusted at such an important time. Because we understand the importance of showing kindness and compassion at every step of our service, PCS team members are all passionate about pets and empathetic to what each family is going through.

The PCS team is a caring group, many of whom are either family members or just feel like family. And each of our customers briefly becomes a part of our family as we care for this final goodbye, which is why we think it is important that you have the opportunity to get to know each of us.

We recently sat down with Jennifer Cook to talk with her about her role with PCS, what she finds rewarding about her work, and how she likes to spend her time outside of work.

Tell us about your professional background before joining PCS

Prior to joining PCS in the fall of 2021, I was a nurse for 20 years. I specifically dealt with end-of-life nursing care, including hospice care and caring for patients who were in the end-stage of disease. After 20 years, it felt like time for a change, and transitioning to working with PCS felt natural since I have spent my career caring for people during such a difficult time.

Tell us a little bit about what you do for PCS

My job is to build and maintain relationships with veterinary customers and clients. I participate in a lot of community outreach activities, like shot clinics, and trade shows. I focus primarily on business development through outreach and supporting the communities in which our partner veterinary clinics are located.

What is the most rewarding part of working with PCS?

Being able to support and comfort families – it such an awful time for people and we are able to help bring their pets home.

Tell us about your family

My husband and I have three very active teenage boys- we are always running between sports, marching band, and theater productions! We also have a Chocolate Lab named Buddy.

How do you like to spend your free time?

I like to be creative through baking and crafts. I am part of a card club where we make cards rather than play cards.

What are three words that your colleagues or customers have used to describe you?

Caring, compassionate, personable
