Royal came into my life when he was 8 after retiring from a lengthy and once successful racing career, earning over $120,000 and being nominated for the Breeders Cup. He successfully showed a combination of hunters and dressage, showing dressage primarily into his 20’s. He retired from riding and showing at the age of 22 when he retired to a friends farm and he met one of his best friends, Gunner, who stayed with him until the end. He passed away peacefully with his mom, best friend Gunner, and additional human family Andrea and Ry by his side. He will always be known as a kind and loving horse that cared deeply about those around him, loved his family and friends and always overcame the odds.
