Patch (Patch Adams)

08/21/2014 - 06/16/2024

Nelsonville, Ohio

We rescued our sweet loving boy in February 2015 from our local shelter. He had been starved and left outside tied to a tree. Although he was very scared when we first brought him home, he spent the first three nights sleeping on my lap. We suddenly lost my boy to cancer on June 16, 2024. He and I spent the night before snuggled together on his bed, as we had started our life together. We had nine years and four months together, he was my comfort when I was sad or upset, he was my protector, my therapist, my snuggle bug, my rock, my forever Patchie Boy. He would nudge me every morning and night which was his way of asking for a hug, he was so tolerant putting up with his schnauzer siblings who followed him everywhere. I miss him so much, my heart is shattered.

I hope Heaven has the biggest swimming pool sweet boy and you are swimming all day long while your sister Jazzie, is barking orders like she always did. I love you Patchie Watchie, thank you for letting me be your mommy I was extremely blessed to have the love of this sweet boy.

We had to put our fur baby to sleep at the vet's office. They use Pet Cremation Services. They called a couple of days later and said they were bringing our Maddie girl home. Such a nice touch and unexpected. Very thankful for the ease of service and compassion from them. Thank you!
