Meet Suzi

This month, we’re excited to spotlight our amazing Sales Executive in Cleveland, Suzi Mandic! Suzi brings creativity, a passion for animals, and fresh ideas to the PCS team. From a young age, she dreamt of becoming a veterinarian and spent her high school years volunteering at four local shelters. After gaining hands-on experience in animal behavior and training, she knew a career in this space would be a perfect fit for her.

As a Sales Executive in Cleveland, Suzi sees great potential in the largely untapped and dynamic market and is thrilled to lead the expansion for PCS! As a proud “Clevelander” and an animal advocate, she understands the need for a compassionate aftercare provider. Suzi brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to serve her clients and the vibrant community. From animal rescue and networking, behavioral training, and obedience to animal nutrition, in-clinic experience, and selling veterinary pharmaceuticals, Suzi is now providing dignified final goodbyes and comfort to owners across the city of Cleveland. She understands firsthand how difficult that departure can be.

In fact, it’s precisely what led her to Pet Cremation Services. Suzi lost her soul dog, a stoic and warrior-like Cane Corso, last April. She was not only the best companion, guardian, and friend – she was Suzi’s greatest teacher that taught her so many important life lessons. When Suzi had to say her goodbye, it was one of the most difficult moments of her life. Although she was no stranger to losing pets and had other pets then, this dog held her heart. Suzi had always feared the day would come when she would have to say goodbye to one of her beloved companions, but that fear turned into solace after having an incredible experience with the pet cremation process.

Instead of fearing the process, Suzi sought to understand it. After touring a local cremation facility, she fell in love with the passionate services provided. She knew then that she wanted to offer the same comfort to other pet parents, so it was almost fate that she found the opportunity at PCS.

Now, Suzi is recognized by her coworkers for her integrity, creativity, and honesty, making her a perfect fit at PCS. Our entire team is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences and seamless final farewells for our clients, always striving to make things right. This dedication, coupled with the fact that PCS is a local, family-owned company based in Ohio, sets us apart in the industry, and Suzi’s passion further elevates the exceptional service we provide.

Recently, we had the chance to sit down with Suzi and learn more about her life outside of PCS. Get to know her at the Q&A below!

What are the three things you can’t live without?

Family, animals, and traveling!

When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your free time?

I love being outdoors, experiencing new places, and visiting local farmers markets, festivals, concerts, and national parks! I also enjoy spending time with my pets and family and dedicate a lot of my spare time to animal advocacy efforts, rescue and networking, and helping train dogs in the local community.

Please tell us about your family.

My parents are my heroes and they’ve given me every opportunity to succeed in life! I’m very fortunate and very thankful to have an affectionate family (even if they drive me crazy once a week, lol). I have two siblings, a brother and a sister. They both work in the healthcare industry, and they are amazing! They’re so much fun and always make me laugh! They’re my best friends.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?

Well, if you ask my mom and dad, they would say, “Save your money and don’t spend it!” – but I think the best advice is to always stay true to your heart and do what you love. Life is short and you should enjoy every minute of it. Doing what I love brings me the most happiness, and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with animals every day!
