At Pet Cremation Services (PCS), we believe that our people are the heart of what makes us special. One of those key people is Everett Martin, our Division Manager, who brings a wealth of experience and a deeply compassionate approach to everything he does. Though his background isn’t in cremation, Everett’s journey to PCS is a testament to his dedication to people and his drive for building teams that truly care.
Before joining PCS, Everett spent years in the building and construction industry, managing large teams and honing his skills in human resources and team building. “I’ve always been in the mechanical field, and I’ve had the privilege of managing teams ranging from a handful of people to large groups,” Everett shares. “But no matter the size, I’ve always focused on building strong, supportive teams.”
Though he didn’t come from the cremation industry, Everett found his passion for this field through his dedication to people. “I’m a huge advocate for humanity,” he explains. “I’m a people person, and I put people first, whether it’s my team or the families we serve.”
To Everett, what sets PCS apart is its long-standing presence and deep commitment to the communities it serves. “PCS has been around for 27 years,” he says. “Longevity isn’t something you can just create overnight. It’s built on years of hard work, a strong team, and a dedication to providing great service.” For Everett, being part of that legacy of trust and professionalism is something he’s incredibly proud of.
While he’s only in his first month at PCS, Everett is confident that his firm, fair, and consistent management style will help him find success, ensuring his team feels supported while staying on track. Compassionate at heart, Everett goes the extra mile for both his employees and the families PCS serves – sometimes even doing home deliveries himself. With his genuine care for people and hands-on approach, Everett is the perfect fit to lead and grow the PCS team.

Tell us about your family.
I’ve been happily married for 28 years to my very best friend and our relationship just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter. We have two wonderful daughters, Cheyenne and Savannah. Cheyenne is in Grad school at The Ohio State university and Savannah is pursuing a career in cosmetology. We are very blessed to have such wonderful children and are so proud of them.
How do you like to spend your free time?
I’m an outdoors enthusiast and have 8 rabbit beagles. I’ve trained dogs all my life, and I also grew up on a horse farm. I was a 3rd generation farmer and also was active in horseshows and rodeo for several years of my life.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
“Work hard, take pride in what you do, and be kind to others.” If you stick to those three principles, you may not always win, but you’ll definitely be successful.
What excites you the most about the future of PCS?
We’re making great strides with the new building. Every Friday, we have design meetings, and it’s exciting to see the progress. The pile behind us is growing, and the one in front is getting smaller.
From a design and implementation standpoint, we’re headed toward the finish line. People are excited about what’s to come. This new building represents a huge growth opportunity, allowing us to serve more customers more efficiently and professionally. We also have a great team to build off of and their passion to serve the community in which we live is contagious. The team is bringing in key componets including new salespeople—myself included—and I’m thrilled to be part of that journey.
